Although the ed1t CMS platform offers a great deal of functionality and customisation as standard, sometimes it doesn't meet all of a customer's needs.  It may be that a small change to existing functionality is needed, or that a whole new set of functions is required, often linked to other systems. 

Even when new functionality is called for, standard CMS functions are great for getting a host site up and running to house the new features.  Almost all sites benefit from the core essentials of a CMS platform, such as the ability to add, edit and remove content at will, and authenticate users so that their access to different areas of content can be controlled.

ed1t is built on top of a solid open source platform called mojo portal.  It's fully supported and written using industry standard and dependable Microsoft Asp.net technology.  A lively developer community keeps the platform up to date and provides a rich source of inspiration and help to us as developers of ed1t.  The result is that we can quickly provide a core system that provides a basic framework and then spend time working on your bespoke requirements.  This provides the perfect mix of bespoke and standard, familiar functionality within a cost-effective development model.
